Victorious Medical Centre Launches Fundraising Campaign for New Hospital Construction

Victorious Medical Centre (VMC) is excited to announce the commencement of construction of its own hospital facility, an important step towards providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community. With the rising costs of rent and the need for a dedicated healthcare space, VMC has embarked on this significant project to enhance the quality of care available to our patients.

Using the little money we had saved, we have completed the foundation , which costed $23,700 . As we move forward, we are reaching out to our community and well-wishers for support to fund the construction of the ground floor, which is estimated to cost $39,500. This essential space will include a reception area, accounts office, pharmacy, doctors’ consultation rooms, ultrasound scan facilities, dental clinic, x-ray unit, laboratory, maternity and labor ward, immunization and family planning services, emergency treatment room, and several patient wards.

In alignment with our long-term vision, future phases of construction will include a first floor housing a post-operative ward, medical ward, surgical and pediatric wards, as well as administrative offices. These additions will greatly expand our capacity to serve the healthcare needs of our community.

VMC invites individuals, businesses, and organizations to contribute to this important initiative. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve.

Thank you for your continued support of Victorious Medical Centre.

Victorious Medical Centre, a Beacon of Hope for Healthcare in Kanungu District

In a region where access to quality healthcare is often a challenge, Victorious Medical Centre (VMC), a private not-for-profit community-based organization, emerged as a beacon of hope for the communities in and around the greater Kayonza area in Kanungu District. Established in May 2019, VMC achieved official registration as a local charity organization in 2022, solidifying its commitment to providing essential medical treatment services and outreach programs.

VMC operates in proximity to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, extending its services to the less privileged and poverty-stricken communities in the area. Notably, the organization goes beyond borders, reaching out to refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), located just 1km from the Congo and Uganda border. The center’s dedication to bridging healthcare gaps has made it a lifeline for those fleeing the turmoil in the DRC.

    Mission and Vision:
At the core of VMC’s endeavors is a clear mission – to become the leading medical charity organization offering a range of services, including medical and surgical interventions, malnutrition treatment, and immunization against preventable diseases. The organization is committed to addressing the healthcare needs of both local communities and refugees from the nearby Democratic Republic of Congo.

VMC envisions a disease-free community achieved through holistic, affordable, and quality healthcare, coupled with community health sensitization programs. By offering comprehensive services, the center aims to create lasting positive impacts on the health and well-being of the communities it serves.

    Free Services and Comprehensive Healthcare:
One of the standout features of Victorious Medical Centre is its commitment to providing free services that directly impact the community’s health. The center conducts free cancer of the cervix screening programs, a crucial initiative in the fight against cervical cancer. Additionally, VMC offers free immunization services, contributing to the prevention of various preventable diseases.

The organization also provides malnutrition management services and rehabilitation, addressing a critical health issue prevalent in impoverished communities. This comprehensive approach ensures that VMC not only treats existing health conditions but also focuses on preventive measures and community education.

    Diverse Range of Services:
Victorious Medical Centre is equipped with a wide array of services to cater to the diverse healthcare needs of the community. These services include outpatient and inpatient services, laboratory facilities, imaging and ultrasound, antenatal and family planning, dental services, immunization, operation theatre services, labor ward and maternity services, as well as accident and emergency services.

VMC’s commitment to providing such a broad spectrum of services reflects its dedication to offering holistic healthcare solutions, addressing various aspects of community health.
